We recommend obtaining independent legal advice before relying on or using these terms.

1. Scope of work

We will carry out the works described in our written quotation, estimate, or agreed scope. Any work not expressly included is excluded.

2. Quotes and estimates

Quotes are based on the information available at the time. Unless stated otherwise, quotes are valid for 30 days and may be withdrawn if circumstances change (for example, access restrictions, material availability, or changes in specification).

3. Variations and additional work

If you request changes or additional work, we will confirm the variation (including any change to price and/or programme) before proceeding where reasonably practicable. Variations may be charged at the quoted rate, day rate, or as otherwise agreed.

4. Customer responsibilities (access, safety, and information)

You must provide safe, timely access to the property and the work area, including parking/permits where required. You must disclose relevant information (for example, known defects, asbestos, or restrictions) and ensure the site is safe and compliant for us to work.

5. Delays and events outside our control

We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, supply chain disruption, third-party contractors, or unforeseen site conditions. We will keep you informed and agree revised timings where possible.

6. Payment terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion for small works. For larger projects, staged payments may apply (for example, deposit, interim payments, and final balance). Late payments may incur reasonable recovery costs and statutory interest where applicable.

Cancellations, warranties, and liability

The sections below outline common contractor terms. If any part conflicts with mandatory consumer rights, your statutory rights will apply.

7. Cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible. We may charge for costs reasonably incurred (for example, non-returnable materials or time reserved) where permitted by law.

8. Materials and equipment

Materials supplied remain our property until paid for in full. We may use equivalent products where necessary due to availability, provided they are suitable for the intended purpose.

9. Testing, certification, and compliance

Where applicable, we will test and certify works in accordance with relevant standards and Building Regulations requirements. Certificates will be issued once the account is settled in full, unless otherwise agreed.

10. Warranty and defects

We warrant our workmanship for a reasonable period (typically 12 months) from completion, subject to normal use and excluding fair wear and tear, misuse, third-party interference, or pre-existing faults. Manufacturer warranties apply to products supplied.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the contract price for the works. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example, loss of profit, business interruption, or loss of data). Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a concern, please contact us promptly with details of the issue and (where possible) photographs. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and propose a practical resolution. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the parties will consider mediation before court proceedings where appropriate.
